Aug. 14-16: Anime Iowa. Local anime con that has about 2000-2500 attendees. Gonna bring my fursuit & represent the furries/beast people in animes. Was gonna make a Jillas costume from the anime Slayers Try for my fursuit but kinda ran out for time. ^^;
Sept. 19th: My birthday. Happens to be right in the middle of Rainfurrest I so wish I could go there for my b'day but sadly, that ain't gonna happen. Dunno what I'm gonna do for my birthday. Bonfire I had last year wasn't really that great since I was so wrapped up in my Shell of Isolation™ since I had it at home. Dunno what I'm gonna do so if anyone has any suggestion, let me hear them.
Nov. 19-22: Midwest Furfest. Haven't fully planned out what I'm gonna do yet but I will be 'suiting & really wanting to hang out with people this year. I find myself kinda prowling the Artist alley most of the time (or the time I'm noticing). Anyone going to MFF and wants to hang out, give me a howl.
Well that's it for now. I might add to this journal and tell how some of the events went.
Later.
Jumped on to Yahoo! and found this story on the front page:

14,528 txt messages!? Seriously, WTF!?
I started two new furries communities today on Livejournal:
*Mobile Instant Messenger Furries: community.livejournal.com/mobileimfurs/
-a group for furries that use mobile instant messengers
AND
*Rural Furries: community.livejournal.com/ruralfurries/
-a group for furries that live out in the country
Yup, I'm making a post. My life is very much the same every day so I don't have much to talk about. My days usual consist of waking up, letting Ranger (the house dog) out, feeding the Longhorns, going to work at the Pizza Hut and/or Kum & Go, & going to sleep. Yeah, I need to get a social life but that cost money & I don't have enough of that. Maybe I should cut back on the anime. I only buy one or two disks a month (think it's down to one a month now since I haven't been to Waterloo as offen). I do have a bodysuit for coming to upgrade my partial fursuit. Lucky me!
My birthday is in ten days. Wow, how a year flies. Gonna be 24 this year. I made the decision to throw myself a birthday party since I've never had one before. Gonna have a bonfire, might do some Wii-ing & DDRing if it rains. I'm bad at this party thing so if anyone out there in the interwebs has a suggestion, throw me a bone (figuretive, not literal).
Other than that, nothing much new here.
Thank for reading,
Omega
Another reason why I wouldn't ever play FFXI
New game enemy takes a solid day to defeat
Players pass out, get sick during extreme battle.

If it's good enough for Cartman, it's good enough for Square-Enix.
The developers of the online role-playing game Final Fantasy XI seemingly borrowed a page from the Emmy-winning South Park episode "Make Love, Not Warcraft" by updating the game with one of the longest - and most physically grueling - video game fights ever. Introduced in the game's latest downloadable update, the boss monster "Pandemonium Warden" remained perfectly fit after a group of high-level adventurers wailed away at it nonstop for over 18 hours straight.
Though the seemingly unbeatable boss will not prevent people from 'completing' the game -- persistent online games typically do not "end" like most single-player games -- it has sparked debate over what exactly the game's developers, Square-Enix, expect out of their devoted fan base. Message boards have lit up with disgruntled players calling out the company for failing to respect its very own in-game warning telling players they have "no desire to see your real life suffer as a consequence [of playing]. Don't forget your friends, your family, your school or your work."
Easy for them to say. While the beast continually healed, the gamers weren't so lucky.
"People were passing out and getting physically ill," leaders of the player guild said in a forum post. "We decided to end it before we risked turning into a horrible news story about how video games ruin people's lives."
Too late.

Pop or Soda?
I found this story when I logged onto the computer....
JERSEY CITY, N.J. (AP)- Hiding a ring in a bouquet just wasn't enough when a computer programmer decided to pop the question.
Li reached the needed score — and said yes.
The word of the romantic feat last December filtered out after Peng, a financial software programmer, posted details on his blog. The reprogramming was a tricky task and took him a month.
"I thought it was pretty cool, in a nerdy way," Peng told The Star-Ledger of Newark.
The couple plan to marry over Labor Day weekend, and PopCap, the Seattle company that makes "Bejeweled," will fly the couple to Seattle as part of their honeymoon.
"Most video game companies would frown on people manipulating their games," said Garth Chouteau, a spokesman for PopCap.
"But it won him a woman. As a bunch of geeks we have to say, 'Bernie, hats off to you.'"
The company is also supplying copies of "Bejeweled" to hand out as favors to the wedding guests. In the hugely popular game, players score points by swapping gems to form vertical and horizontal chains.

Well, I finally got my fursuit! YAY! I was planning wearing it on a lot of Tuesday night for Kids' Nite Buffet at Pizza Hut but I get too hot in the mask, so I figure every other week will work. I'll get some pictures up here as soon as I get them from my friend.
I love karma. But anyway....
